Online Student Payroll Application Guide
Note: Application is usually unavailable between 5pm - 8am daily and will be unavailable during holidays.
The Online Student Payroll Application is meant to replace the paper pay authorization departments submit for new hires, continuations, raises, and such to the Student Employment Office.
Part of this Help documentation includes snapshots of all the screens to the online pay authorization process organized in a walk through fashion so that users should be able to follow the guide and then use the application.
Note: Printing
Depending on the printer and printer driver one has, the use of the print function within this application might not provide a legible printout.
The software vendor has suggested updating the printer's printer driver.
If this fails, one might want to consider this alternative to an immediate paper printout (For PC users only):
- Hold down the following 2 buttons on your keyboard:
'Alt' and 'Prnt Scrn' - this allows you to make a copy of the active window.
- Paste this document to Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Photo Editor,
or some other similar application - my preference is MS Word.
- Repeat step 1 and 2 for any screen you want to print.
You can continue to paste content onto the same file.
You might also be able to perform simple edits such as enlarge or decrease the size of the image within the file.
- Save this document.
- Print saved document.
For MAC users only:
- Hold down the following 3 buttons on your keyboard:
'Shift', 'open apple', '4' - the cursor should now be a cross.
- Place cursor on one of the corner of the document you want captured.
- Click and drag mouse to highlight area you want captured.
- Release mouse once you have the area you want - a file starting with the word 'Picture' followed by a number will
be automatically saved to your hard drive. (e.g. if there are no other picture files, the filename would be picture1.)
- Repeat step 1 thru 4 for any screen you want to capture.
- You print the picture file directly or drag the picture file into Microsoft Word and print from there as well.
