The Winja product provides
a rudimentary form of security known as encryption. Data sent from
a user's workstation is passed through an algorithm that changes the form
of the data from readable text to unreadable text. When the data
is received by the Winja server software it is again passed through an
algorithm that changes it back to readable text. This process is
repeated, in reverse, when data is returned from the server to the
user workstation. This process allows data to be exchanged across
the network in a manner that ensures anyone intercepting the data could
not easily read the information.
